Water System and Fire Hydrant Maintenance

The fire hydrants within Liberty Township and the City of Powell are property of The Del-Co Water Company.  The hydrants are maintained by Del-Co water and are flow tested once a year by Liberty Township Fire Department personnel.
 

These hydrants are one of the most valuable tools that your fire department has at the scene of a fire!  We ask that you help us in keeping the hydrants visible by not planting shrubs or place fencing around the hydrants.  In the event of copious amounts of snow we again ask for your assistance in keeping the hydrant visible buy shoveling the snow away from the hydrants.
