Firefighting

All Liberty Township Fire Fighters are State of Ohio Firefighter Level 2 trained.  Each firefighter is required to maintain this certification by participating in 54 hours of firefighter continuing education every 3 years.  All Liberty Township Firefighters train daily and stay very proficient at their basic firefighting skills.

Rescue

The liberty Township Fire Department currently has:
6	Certified Rescue Technicians.
28	Firefighters trained in Rope Rescue Operations
8	Rope Rescue technicians
12	Firefighters trained in Water Rescue Operations
3	Water Rescue Technicians

These certifications are above and beyond the required training levels to perform the duties of a Liberty Township Firefighter.  All firefighters have a working knowledge of the basics in rescue operations.  Due to Liberty Township's vast running district and the potential for rescue emergencies, these trainings have been a valuable asset in saving lives.

The Liberty Township Fire Department is always looking for new ways to perform fire and rescue training.  If you have any structure you wish to donate to the fire department for training please call us or email dprice@libertytwp.org!
